Why we begin this face lift with your feet and hands
Fascia is a continuous web of connective tissue that wraps every muscle in your body. It runs in long, connected lines. One of these lines travels from the soles of your feet, up the back of your legs and spine, over your scalp and finishes at your brow. When fascia is tight in one area, it can pull on areas further along that line. By releasing the feet and hands first, we begin to soften tension throughout the whole body, so that the face can let go more easily when we get there.

In every photo, you can also see that the neck appears longer and more elongated. This comes from the deep muscular relaxation and sense of openness created throughout the body once the fascia has been released and hydrated. As tension lets go in the chest, shoulders and jaw, the head and neck are able to sit in a more natural, upright position. This lifts the posture and reveals a more defined jawline.
